Interoperability in Practice: How to Integrate Pharmacy and Medical Care to Improve Patient Outcomes
Health IT Now and Prescriptions for a Healthy America invite you to join us for a briefing showcasing the Interoperable Pharmacist Care Planning High Impact Pilot, which has been underway in North Carolina for the past year. Speakers will discuss how data sharing between pharmacy systems and electronic health records can improve health outcomes and lower costs.
Health IT Now – a broad-based coalition of patient groups, provider organizations, employers, and payers supporting health information technology to improve patient outcomes – will hold a Congressional briefing on Wednesday, May 31st at 2:30 PM entitled Health IT in Transition: Regulatory Steps to Lower Burden, Cost, and Increase Quality.
Health IT Now will be hosting a general membership meeting with Research!America on October 27, 2016 from noon-1:30 PM at 600 14th St, NW, Suite 300. Dr. Gregory Daniel from the Duke-Robert J. Margolis, MD, Center for Health Policy at Duke University will be our guest speaker to discuss their recently published report on the FDA’s proposed real-world evidence system for medical devices.
On Friday, June 10, 2016, Health IT Now will host a briefing from national experts discussing how appropriate cybersecurity policies can empower the Precision Medicine Initiative in its race to help cure cancer.
On Thursday, April 7, Health IT Now and Apervita will release a white paper entitled From Meaningful Use to Meaningful Uses: Getting the Most from Meaningful Patterns in Data to Improve Health at a Congressional briefing.

Health IT Now and the Center for Data Innovation are hosting a day-long conference, Data-Driven Medicine in the Age of Genomics.
